Based on your needs, I see patients in Illinois virtually as well as in-person at my office conveniently located in downtown Highland Park.

This one-time first appointment focuses on us together reviewing your psychiatric and medical history, your understanding of yourself in the world, and your hopes and goals for treatment. Together we will come to an initial sense of your diagnosis, treatment goals, and plan for our work together.

My therapeutic approach is warm, empathetic and grounded in a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship. Our work together is intended to create an environment where you can process your symptoms and distress and also grow in your self-understanding and achieve insight in regards to patterns of behaviors and feelings that you feel are limiting you. We will work together to understand what your symptoms, suffering, and early life experiences mean in the context of the life you are living and the life you hope to be living. My practice is informed by psychodynamic psychotherapy, and an existential/humanistic orientation.

As a psychiatrist, I prescribe medications when indicated but my approach to medication treatment is centered on us collaborating to holistically understand your distress. Medications can be a useful tool in our goal to increase your self understanding and ability to feel safe and secure as we work to alleviate your suffering.

I am an out of network provider for all insurance carriers. Insurances that include out of network benefits often reimburse a portion of fees. Upon request, a superbill can be provided that includes diagnostic codes for the services provided that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Rates are billed to your credit card which is securely stored on file in the HIPAA-regulated electronic medical record system used

Initial Consultation (75-90 min)
This one-time first appointment focuses on us together reviewing your psychiatric and medical history, your understanding of yourself in the world, and your hopes and goals for treatment. Together we will come to an initial sense of your diagnosis, treatment goals, and plan for our work together.

Psychotherapy (50 min)
I meet with patients for therapy semiweekly, weekly, or biweekly. My approach in psychotherapy is informed by psychodynamic psychotherapy, and existential/humanistic stances. Therapy appointments may also involve combined treatment with medication management.
50 mins | $350
Follow-Up (25 or 50 min)
I meet with patients for medication focused follow-up appointments for 25 minutes or extended 50 minute appointments depending on your specific treatment needs. We will typically meet for follow-ups more frequently at the beginning of treatment and as things stabilize we might see each other less frequently.
